Symbolism in This Roary
Malachite has been mined since the earliest history, as a source of copper, worldwide, as well as a gemstone. Until the 19th century, it was also used as a source of green pigment. There is no specific mention of malachite in the Bible, but there is a mine in Israel that was active since the time of the Old Testament. Copper, however, is mentioned throughout the Bible, and the most commonly mentioned metal in the Old Testament.
Tiger’s-Eye is a brown stone of the quartz group that displays “chatoyancy,” or a changing of colors as the stone is viewed from different angles.
Our Lady of Medjugorje, though not yet a recognized apparition, appeared to six teenagers beginning in 1981. Her messages through them have largely been to ask people to pray often, to fast, and to do penance. Medjugorje has become a popular pilgrimage site, and a place of conversion.
The image of Divine Mercy comes from a vision given to Saint Faustina Kowalska. It represents Christ’s loving mercy to all, especially to sinners.
The Saint Benedict crucifix has a long history and a complex symbolism. The Order of Saint Benedict does the best job clearly explaining the details.
Our goal is to provide you a rosary, not just sell you a rosary. We use only stainless steel eyepins, linkages, and jump rings for both their strength and durability. If there is any defect in the workmanship of a rosary you purchase from us, please let us know, and we will make it right, free of charge, including shipping, within the first year of purchase. Also, for as long as we make rosaries (a lifetime, we hope!), if a rosary we made for you ever has a broken linkage, eyepin, or jump ring, we will be happy to repair it, with cost limited to shipping. Whatever we can do to keep you praying!
