Obsidian is a rock that forms when lava comes into contact with water and cools very quickly. Depending on the composition of the lava, it can have a variety of qualities and additional colors beyond its characteristic black, such as the shadowy diffusion of light in rainbow obsidian.

Also, for as long as we make rosaries (a lifetime, we hope!), if a rosary we made for you ever has a broken linkage, eyepin, or jump ring, we will be happy to repair it, with cost limited to shipping.
