Czech has a rich tradition of Bohemian glass making centered in the region of Jablonec nad Nissou. It is known both for its high quality of workmanship and for its distinctive, often vivid use of color.

Pink, especially as rose vestments, represents joy during a time of penance and prayer in Catholic tradition. It the color of deep contentment or happiness that cannot be subdued even amidst times of sadness.

 

Hearts bring to mind both the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our heart is our center, the wellspring of our spirit and our emotions, and is to be closely guarded. It is the most referenced body part in the Bible.
