  • Symbolism in This Rosary

Green evokes vegetation, spring, and renewal. It is the color of life and immortality, and is used in the Bible often. The many Hebrew words for green separate out the life cycle of plants, with different words for the green of new growth, summer growth, and the green of mature plants and trees.

Obsidian is a rock that forms when lava comes into contact with water and cools very quickly. Depending on the composition of the lava, it can have a variety of qualities and additional colors beyond its characteristic black.

Carnelian, also known as sardius, is the sixth foundation stone of Revelation’s New Jerusalem, and is also used in Revelation to describe the Lord. It has a long history of use by royalty, with a strand of carnelian beads from 3100 BC discovered in Egypt.

Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three children every month between May and October of 1917. In addition to prophecies and the Miracle of the Sun at her last appearance, she request the children and others pray the rosary every day, adding the prayer “Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of thy mercy.” at the end of each decade.

The pardon crucifix was approved by Pope Saint Pius X in 1905 with five different indulgences granted through its use.

Our goal is to provide you a rosary, not just sell you a rosary. We use only stainless steel eyepins, linkages, and jump rings for both their strength and durability. Also, for as long as we make rosaries (a lifetime, we hope!), if a rosary we made for you ever has a broken linkage, eyepin, or jump ring, we will be happy to repair it, with cost limited to shipping. Whatever we can do to keep you praying!
