Bronzite is found throughout the world, but because it is not a useful ore for metal extraction nor is it over-the-top beautiful, it is often looked over. It has a charming bronze-like luster and shininess (hence the name), and good durability. It was used ornamentally at least as far back as the Roman Empire.

 

Tiger’s-Eye is a brown stone of the quartz group that displays “chatoyancy,” or a changing of colors as the stone is viewed from different angles.
